Timpani-timp-aarni or timper-ni?
Pantera-Pant-eera or Pant-erra?
One other that I've forgotten...May remember it soon

Or a Spanish person? (it's Spanish for Panther) Thanks for the sound file, too. now I know I've been saying it wrong!

Tim-pan-ee

I say Pantera like Pan t-air a

I say Pan-tare-a, or pant-air-a. Same thing just two different ways to put it.
I've always said Tim-pan-ee, too.

Not only the sound bite that Nodiggie put in will help but phonetic spelling definitely rules out the apparent favorite pan in the middle by phonetically spelling it out tim-puh-nee

How about , The soldier hurt his shoulder picking up the solder.

Pantera, is the Spanish and Castilian word for Panther. It's pronounced Pan-te-ra.

Cheers,
