Default New Masters,Pork Pie + Meinl

Hi Guys,

Sold the Saturns, bought a TD9kx (regretted it after a month) sold that and now i have a lovely new setup :)

got the Masters in Gold Sparkle/broken Glass whatever it is, in the 24" Bass, 13" Tom, 16" Floor tom setup

also treated myself to a Pork Pie 14x6 (not a hybrid)

and cymbal wise got

14" Meinl Byzance Medium Hats
16" Meinl Byzance Medium thin Crash
18" Meinl Byzance Medium Crash
20" Meinl Byzance Medium Ride

Standard Pearl Hat Stand, Pearl Eliminator Double. mixture of 2 Taye Booms and Pearl Boom

some pics not the best, will take better ones at the next outing :)

that is an incredible 4 piece, love the sizes 24/13/16!
the byzance's look nice, are they as dark as everybody says, or no?
and the snare - sweet looking porker you picked up - treated yourself is right ;-)
enjoy the great kit man!

cheers guys,

hats are very dark but everything else is sharp enough,
most sensitive cymbals i have ever played, very controllable!

Just got the same kit minus the tom mounts on the bass drum. I love it. Great purchase.

Sexy setup from the byzances to the pork pie to the gold sparkle. I really dig the finish on the snare. Any video/sound clips?

Man! In picture 3, the angles of your gear are terrible!!!! ;-) Just kidding...

I've seen the finish in person at a shop nearby, and it is awesome! The pedals are top notch as well.

As far as the cymbals, I tested a pair of Byzance 14 last spring and was impressed. I love dark cymbals and the hats were sweet. I think the Byzance line is the best Meinl has to offer and they have A LOT to offer.

Good work all the way round!

Of course, I was just kidding about the effect the fish eye lens had on your hats and crash...

All looks good to me...

Sounds like something I would play.

Very nice.
