You've got a ported head, a superkick batter, felt strips, and laundry inside. I guess you like dead kicks?....

Aside from that minor detail, fantastic kits. Very nice...

I'm going for different sounds and they are in different rooms. The Maple set is in a smaller room and the bass is actually quite boomy do to the room acoustics, so I use a towel inside the drum. I'll try to post a recording of the bass drum soon.

Hi Ozzy,

Thanks for your comments. I made a recording featuring the Bass Drum of the Maple Custom set as pictured with the Superkick II, Ported reso w/hole and one towel inside. Please have a listen. I'm sure it's not to everyones taste but I like the sound. The Birch kit bass drum does sound quite a bit different, but I like the variety.
