Default Broken bottom.

My friend just used my snare for a concert he had. He tightened it a bit to much and the entire bottom head ripped off. The one he was using was a pearl and i've had it for about 7 monthes. Should i take it to a pro (if so how much?) or do it myself?(if so how) thanks so much!

Just the bottom resonant ripped off?
Buy a new one and put it on.
If I'm understanding what you're saying correctly.

replacing the resonant head on a snare is no different really than replacing the batter head. I would go with an Ambassador Snare side (it's not a regular ambassador head) or Evans Hazy 300

Ya, just buy another head. It's a farily inexpensive fix.
