Default powerless slave pedal

I have Pearl Elims (chain drive) and i use Red cams

lately iv been noticing that my slave pedal has like zero power to it, like its really weak in comparison to my master. i tried to tighten the spring, and it gave it a lot of tension, but still doesnt have the power that my master does.

it wasnt always like this. when i bought them, they were the same, but slowly, the left pedal has lagged in OOMPH

any ideas? is the connecting rod extended too far? is the pedal at a wierd angle?

please help

The slave pedal springs may have been worn down, if they have just buy some new ones and you're back on track. how old is it?

Usually I will say that slave pedal issues are the fault of the operator. My dominant foot is much stronger, so I feel that my slave pedals are weaker, so I focus on the weaker foot when I'm doing double pedal stuff.

But since it was once not as weak... try setting it up so the rod is mostly straight to eliminate most of the torque on the joints. If it still feels lopsided swap the springs and see how it feels. I have heard of Pearl pedals having bearing issues, so if straightening the connecting link and swapping the springs doesn't work I think we need a little more info to help.

my left foot is actually really good, i train them both evenly so when my main gets tired sometimes i let my slave take over and do the mains work..
