Default Snare Head Question

Ive posted before on snare heads and i tried my friends evans genera hd dry head and he has the same kit as me (pdp mx) and it seriously sounded like i was hitting a cardboard box, i originally wanted this head for my snare but it was dead and didnt have a good rim tap and basically no tone. So i need your help and ive thought of a couple heads maybe the genera dry, the ec snare reverse dot, or the remo controlled sound with the grey dot. I want a focused snare head but not too focused and dead like the hd dry. I want a little bit of ring and a nice rim tap. I have an ambassador right now but i dont want to use my moongel any more so i need something more focused. Please comment or suggest. Thanks
