Default Mic preamp increaser.

Hey guys
If i get a mixer with 4 preamps and i want more , is there a way to expand the amount of XLR ports in the mixer by an adaptor or something??

If your board has additional 1/4 ins on additional channels, you can do an external pre (at the low end, e.g. a Presonus TubePre) and route into that channel. That being said, if you think you're going to want more than four channels (which you probably will), it may be worth just saving a little more and getting, say, six or eight pres, as the external pre route would probably be more expensive.

Yeah, you can get direct boxes for each additional line level input or the presonus tube pre as mentioned, but it would be way cheaper to just get a new mixer and sell your old one on like craigslist or something.
