Default Please, someone suggest a good percussion pad for live gigs!!!

I'm tired of having to carry extra stuff like timbales, cowbell, smaller toms, blocks, etc etc whenever my band plays live. Can anyone suggest a good pad that I can use. I was looking at the sps-s & spd-20 but they're a bit pricey & would be my last option. I checked out the Alesis Performance pads but I'm not sure if you need a PC to use it... same with the SPD pads actually. Can someone clarify this?

I need a pad that I can hook up to a speaker or amp & just play right away. Hopefully something that will allow me store samples or at least have a huge library so I wouldn't need to carry the extra stuff or plug into a pc or laptop.

Thanks a bunch!!!!

PS: Anyone heard if there's a DIY somewhere for what I need? edrum won't work since I would need the PC for the samples... :(
