Default Mike Baird

Anyone got any information or recommendations for listening for Mike?

There's no mention of him on the main Drummerworld site, despite his rather large presence in the session scene.

The same can be said for Ed Greene, who I've started a thread for too.

I have 'rush street' by Richard Marx with him on. Can't remember the track now but one towards the end, 10 or 11 with Baird on is a really cool groove. There are track listings on this cd thankfully. Loads of other drummers on this album too like Porcaro, and Moffett. Baird is on some other Richard Marx albums too like 'repeat offender' which could be worth checking out.

Baird played for Journey for a while in the 80s. It was when Randy Jackson from American Idol was playing bass.

Just listening to Randy Crawfords 'Now we may begin', and Baird is listed in the credits but I cant find which tracks exactly (stix Hooper also plays). I think its him on 'blue flame', where Abe is on bass (unmistakable bass playing); fun track.

Mike did indeed tour with Journey in 86/87 on the Raised On Radio Tour but he did not record with them. Randy Jackson recorded on the album and toured as well.

In the 2000's Mike toured with Italian superstar Vasco Rossi.
