Default drum heads for hardrock and metal music?

sorry if this is a repost, i'm new to this forum. so anyway....

i play a lot of hard rock music, and currently i have an emad on my export bass.... im happy with it because the amount of low end, but i want to get more volume that cuts through more.

which out of the following heads would do that best, and suit the music i play??

- superkick 2
- emad
- emad 2
- eq3

those are the heads that appeal to me currently at the moment, just wondering if i could get some feedback. thanks.

btw ec2 batters are good heads for this music, i currently use coated g2s

The Superkick 2 will be a great fit for your exports, it'll give you a great attack. EC2s will work well too.

would it be louder than an emad??? and the emad is the only bass drum head i've owned which makes the windows downstairs shake and makes things fly of the shelves in my room.

the skl kit has an eq3 which seems tto be louder than my emad but it could be down to room acoustics.

maybe try a powerstroke 4?

i know it wasnt any of the heads you mentioned, but, i play ALOT of metal. anything from metallica to tech-death and grind.

this skin is perfect for it. it does need a little bit of muffling. but its the skin for me!

I also use and like the Super Kick II. It plays well at all volume levels. I use a Remo Diplomat with a mic porthole for my front head. I don't use anything inside the drum for muffling. Don't have to with the SK II. That also helps to make it louder when I need volume.

Bump this ! Right on!

I am totally happy with the Emad on my kick. I have tried most all of the others listed and just am partial to the Emad because I could really notice a lower bottom end punch that the other heads did not produce. It has been my personal experience that Evans G2 clear last longer than Emperors. I love emperors, they just didn't last as long for me. I am currently using EC2 clears on my CX and they sound great.
