Default My Tama snare-side die-cast hoop is bent!!

Nooo... When I was tuning the bottom of my snare I noticed the lugs next to the snares itself go in 'deeper' way easier than the other lugs. So I took the hoop off and it rocks a little back and forth on a flat surface. I put the batter hoop upside down and then put a head into it and it fit perfectly, but I put the head in the bottom hoop and it was rocking perpendicular to where the snares would be. Crap. I'm worried the bottom side of the snare drum itself, the bearing edge?, might be bent, maybe. Is that even possible? Maybe the surface I'm using isn't flat enough to tell, but I know the hoop is bent for sure because the head wont even sit on it properly. Could I buy a new hoop and hopefully solve this? If I do, does it have to be Tama brand, I can't find it online. Or should I just continue to use the bent hoop? So far I havent noticed any sound difference, but that's because I don't even remember how the drum would have sounded like without the bent hoop. I don't know how long its been bent for.

you can order a new Tama die cast hoop at any dealer that sells Tama. No problem. I would sure replace it.

I just tested my hoops and snare edge on a granite counter-top. The top hoop is completely flat, perfect, which I am really happy about, but the bottom hoop is slightly bent. The bottom edge of the snare itself has a noticable gap, and the top has a very tiny gap.

I also read about a similar problem here: http://www.tama.com/forum/forum_post...729&PN=1&TPN=1

"Notice that the curvature follows Tama's classic "soft" snare bed profile."

What is this snare bed profile?
