At my old house, I had a kick pedal with an acrylic beater next to the front door, attached to the threshold. The beater hit a wooden coaster attached to the siding. There was a sign above it that said "knock" with an arrow pointed down to the pedal. That thing was louder than my doorbell!

Well it wasnt me, but my cat used to use my pedal as a toy. He would play with the beater a few hours a day. I miss the little guy. : (

ive always wanted to put a pedal up to a snare and have a rick allen tribute with bass on one foot snare on the other and rock out toms and cymbals up top.

NO sad to say...Yeah, that invention of Caddy's is quite ingenious, nothin says.:"drummer lives here" like a pedal on the front door. I think its great, but unfortunately I havent rigged my house up yet, as I m about to lose it...hopefully at my next residence, I will place a full kit at the door, and I will only answer if the knocker can play MOBY DICK in true "Bonzo" style....that will keep away all the "unwanteds"LOL That ll keep away the "witnesses". But my kitten did love that beater!
