Default Candid SQ2 pics!

Cleaned and re-tuned my kit this weekend. I also ordered a 10x9 add-on tom. Check it out!

Dang!! Look at those interiors! There should be a warning about the drum porn on this thread...

Actually the interior looks nicer than the outside, if you ask me. I don't dig that finish very much, I love natural finishes, but that one reminds me of living room furniture, haha!

Nevertheless, great set of drums you have there.

Something about lust or maybe envy?

That is a VERY nice kit.
You are one lucky man. (Mike too, apparently)

I love that interior finish, it looks the same as the exterior finish you can get on SQ2s. How thick are the shells?

Tom

It's Scandinavian birch interior veneer, and ebony veneer outside. You can mix and match both interiors and exteriors with SQ2.

My snare is 12 ply, 8mm
Floor and bass are 9ply, 6mm
rack is 9ply, 6mm

Truly nice stuff, very very sweet. As a Sonor Ebony man with a 5 Star Designer Ebony with gold hardware, I get the groove, I get the groove.

I have G2s on top and stock medium clear Remo resos.
They sound perfectly eq'd in a live non-mic'd setting. Really, really warm for birch drums!

I have to remember the day I first played on an SQ2...it felt unbelievably incredible!
Not just that they make great drums which sound amazing and look awesome...those Sonors sound unique, individual. And they feel unique in my opinion.

Legendary drums.

Very nice finish you chose for the outer ply as well as for the inner ply. =)

Karl

Thanks, Karl. When your band makes it big, Sonor will probably sponsor you. You will have your own "Karl Signature" SQ2 kit!

This guy is not what he seems, many of my videos on youtube have been trashed by this guy, and they are all personal, nothing to do with the music. Hateplow you are a forgiven, I know you didn't mean all those terrible things you said, peace.

I hope the batters are clear heads so that you can see those breathtaking interiors.

Hello my fellow Sonor SQ 2 brother, my SQ 2 is all 12 ply Birch shells, with a SQ 2 Acrylic snare. I bought mine in 2006 when they were more affordable, today the SQ 2 is crazy EXPENSIVE!

Max, you've hardly done yourself any favours on this forum so far. Grow up.

Incidentally, loving the SQ2. Loving it.

I recognize you from the Sonor forum...where there are some who call me Thomas.
Your kit is very nice, very Steve Smith.

Excuse me sir, this guy says the most vicious and insulting things you can imagine, and it has nothing to do with music. If he were to repeat them here he would be banned, the fact that he says them at all, and you don't care, tells me a lot about your character, or lack of it. Peace.

Well, he doesn't do it here and has always been polite and respectful...so it matters not what he says to other people elsewhere, (in my very humble opinion). This makes you sound like a certifiable troll.

This thread has nothing to do with the accusations you're throwing around. So, to stay on topic - love the new pics hateplow!

If you've got an argument, take it off the forums. Insulting another member on this thread is like bombing for peace; it ain't going to work. I've been here a lot longer than you and whilst I don't always get on with everyone, I don't go around making unprovoked attacks on people on public threads. If you've got an issue, take it to the PM's. Otherwise, leave. I would say the same to anybody - I'm not just picking on you.

Thanks for trying to stay positive and on topic.
I remember you as being a big Sonor fan before I really knew too much about their drums. You were right! It is an amazing kit. I'm loving it.
