Default Help adjusting new DW 9002 double pedal

Hi Guys, just found this forum, looks great! I'm an intermediate level drummer and recently bought a DW 9002 Double Pedal. It feels pretty good, but I'm having trouble controlling it. It seems there is not enough tension overall and the left foot has less tension than the right. Any tips on adjusting these? Also, the guy I bought them from has the beaters flipped around, and I'm used to playing them on the felt side. Any thoughts there?

hey welcome to the forum!!! i haven't seen this pedals but IMO you have to adjust the spring tension, and about the plastic or felt side i prefer the plastic side (it gives a "clicky" kind of sound), but i don't use those i use the ones that are only felt.

Crank up the spring tension, that should get it feeling better.
i had to do the same to mine when i got them.

And the plastic side of the beater will give the drum more punch,
if you have a falam slam on your bass drum aswell, it will make it a bit clicky
but still sounds good.

There are a ton of adjustments for those pedals which makes it even more fun to play with
Check out this link it's a manual for the pedal. I actually adjusted spring tension down on my and messed with the cam setting as well to fine tune it to my playing preferences.
