I live in Canada so this deal is better than in the U.S. These kits retail for about 4000 at music stores that i've been to for a 5 piece w/ snare. OPINIONS PLEASE (This might not be in the right forum, but if you guys push me there could be pictures of it soon so i figured....) |

That's the exact sizes I'm using on my Yamaha Absolutes. Very versatile and the 3" separation works very well. See attached.

I have an Absolute snare, but havent played a set. Is the sound good/worth the money? I've heard some good things, but how do you like them?

Take a guess.
I think those sizes will sound great, but they will look funky. Do you have other options as far as kits? |

...the tom diameters are each three inches apart, 10", 13", 16"
...drumming_HD. That sounds like a pretty good price for a kit such as that. If you do play them as a one up, two down five piece setup, it should work pretty well for you. I would be more into using the 13, 16 as a four piece, but that's just my preference. Good luck. Barry

I would play them as a four piece primarily, with the option of one up two down. I dont think that would look wierd. Some of my favorite drummers play 10 16. It has been hard for me to find a kit that i like in those sizes, so as far as other options i was going to special order a pearl masters in 22 10 16, but i would have to wait 6 months...and the price difference isnt that much if any. Remember the yammies are new.
