I have a pearl brass free floater and I think the Saturn snare is awesome. Makes me wonder what the black panther is like. Great choice...I love my saturns

From what people say on here the black panthers (in any shell) are awesome.I guess the only difference between the two would be the saturns thinner shell and maple walnut mix. I thought the strainer was the only bad bit about the snare absolute rubbish.

Awesome upgrade. Saturns are just all-around good kits. Love the 2oo2s.

i used to have a full set but sold the 2002 ride (wy? dont ask me) cracked a 16 crash (idiot)and to buy them brand new in NZ is Just soooo expensive so took the plunge and got the AAX's (all gear is second hand by the way) the 17 medium actually goes well with the 16 stage crash imao.

New cymbals are also crazy expensive in South Africa, so my stuff is second hand too. I have a 22" 2oo2 ride which I love. Were you just not enjoying the sound of yours?

Your drums look fantastic.

Well i got the sabian and prefered the definition of the strokes and the weight of it. then never got the oppurtunity to get 2nd hand 2002 ride again.maybe one day i would like to have a full set of 2002's (couple of those wild crashes mmmnn) and a full set of HH and AAX/AA(i like the contrast of these two series together)

Very nice. I'd like to ask how you find the characteristics of the snare because I've just been offered one for about $150 and I'm quite keen.

I just swapped out my Brass Free floater to use it cause i liked it so much. The sound is quite mellow but with a nice crack not many overtones and has a wide tuning range . the snare mechanism is shoddy and would swap that out .for $150 US i think you should jump on that man. you wont be dissapointed.

What movie is your avatar from? I remember seeing it a long time ago and tried to tell someone about it once but couldn't think what it was called.
