Default New setup, new cymbal (audio included)

So, this last week I changed my setup, got a china, 18" Oriental China Trash witch is awesome, and recorded some stuff too show you guys and girls what my kit sounds like.
The recording is unmixed, just recorded. Its not that good, just some random playing with many, many mistakes.

That sounds GREAT ! I actually own a 16" oriental china trash on my kit . I use about 10 cymbals on my kit . How do you tune your toms to get that awesome tone out of them like that . To me those sound PROFESSIONAL compared to mine . I personally have EC1 and EC2 evans clear heads on my tom toms , so how would i go about tuning those to get this sound my man ?????

Great stuff. The recording wouldn't load all the way for me, but I heard enough of the kit to say that it sounds great. Are you playing a supra or a black beauty? Cymbals pics look sexy, too.

That's because recorded drums, regardless of processing or not don't sound like that in person. Because of the proximity effect, the fundamental note comes through more than the extra overtones. If you tap your drum lightly with your finger, put your ear up to the drum, it would sound like that. That's what the microphone hears.
