Default My Tama Superstar EFX

Hey everyone.
I finally had a chance to set up my kit at my friends house. I got the edges recut a while ago and it sounds amazing. We will be recording within the week so you'll hear my snare and kit in just a few days. Enjoy

Very nice, man. I've liked that finish every time I've seen it. (I play Superstars, too. Brushed metallic black.)

Why did you get the edges recut? Were they bad? Is it a second-hand kit with wear and tear, or were the factory edges bad on a new kit?

Great set up. I really like those concave tube lugs on your snare. Really great looking kit.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I got the edges recut because I wanted to fine tune the sound from the drums and they sound a lot better. Not that factory edges are bad (i got it new by the way, i think it was played on once at a clinic by Mike Portnoy) but I wanted to round out the edges on the bass and floor tom and sharpen the other drums.

That B8 is workin' great man! =D. Sounds better than a B8 pro at my friends house.
