Default My Brother-in-law's 1963 Ludwig Super Classic

Before I start, ...did I ever mention that I've planned his 'disapearance' with a goal to steal his kit ?!? LOL :) Anyhow .....went on vacation last week and got an opportunity to bring this bad boy outside and show you guys a real nice one!

First,...the details:
1963 or 4...I don't have (didnt' get) the serial numbers, but....red felt b/b mufflers says it all! :)
14x22
16x16
9x13
5 1/2x14 Jazz Festival (were JF's 5" or 5 1/2"?) anyhow...the snare is from 1966/7 (white felt)
Black Diamond Pearl
This baby is just about MINT w/ a few, very few small scratches here and there.

Cymbals:
Zildjian K 14" hats
Bosphorous Hammer Series 20" w/ rivets
Paiste Signature 20" Dry Ride
Zildjian Constantinople 15" crash

Hardware:
DW 600 series? (flat stands)
Speed King pedal
Original ride cymbal arm (Ludwig)

Enjoy!!!

Like I always say, I'm not a huge fan of the small vintage kits. But this one is gorgeous, the finish blends so well with the hardware, what's not to like about it?

Those are amazing cymbal choices as well, (were you aloud to take this baby outside?)

Yes, nice comment ironcobra,....he individually picked these cymbals ....he originally had an old Paiste 502 (blue writing?) and traded it in to get the Bosphorous....all the cymbals sound really nice together!

AND YES.....he wanted me to so we could take pictures ...he's always wanted to do it, but never had the chance...so I took charge!! :)

That is shaweeeeett!!!!

I think you might actually be able to plead insanity if you got caught, what jury could look at that kit and not understand?

...If the jury pool comes from Drummer World you will probably end up with his car as well.

No matter how many, or how nice I think my drums are, those classic kits are the drums that my drums hope to be when they grow up.

If you need an acomplice, or a get away driver, I am there for you.

Perhaps you mean a 602? Doesn't exactly sound like a fair trade to me (depending on the cymbal) since 602s are discontinued, and in my opinion, great-sounding. He still has a nice selection of pies, though. And of course the drums are just great. I wouldn't be surprised if he dissapeared under shady circumstances and his drum set found to be missing...
