Default floor tom bass drum conversion/heads to use

I recently purchased a vintage premier kit that has a 16" floor tom converted into a bass drum by sitting it on a stand. My old kit (pearl export) has a 20" bass drum, so I didn't think it'd be too bad of a drop considering I like a sharp focused bass drum sound, and I love how portable it makes the kit.

My question is what heads should I buy to get as thick of a bass drum sound as possible (I play fast aggressive hardcore/metal with alottt of double bass), and being that its such a small drum, would a 4" hole on the reso head be too much?

I'd try a Powerstroke3 batter and reso. Really good punch, very little overtone. No port. I set up a 20x14 that way, and it barked like a much bigger dog than it was.

I use an evans eq4 on a 20x14 bass drum which gives me a full sound and the lowest sound I've yet gotten out of it.
