What a game last night between Dallas and San Jose. Those are true athletes. I heard it was one of the top ten longest NHL games in history!

BS calls eh. If you're referring to the "high sticking" goal, from what I saw, and this is unbiased, the stick made contact with the puck AT the crossbar, which is alright. But either way, philly won and deserved it, the canadiens didn't play well at all.

the stick was above the crossbar, it had to have been because it made contact with the crossbar, above the crossbar. regardless i don't care. canada sucks and so does thier hockey team.

flyers redwings 96 rematch baby.

You're funny.

I count 24 canadian players on the Flyers lineup.

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=...hPage&team=PHI

Some of them played pretty well in the last series. May be you've missed Martin Biron's performance ?

I gotta say, I'm a little worried about Turco. He has been incredible in the playoffs. But as long as we keep Ozzy in the net, I think it'll be a spectacular match up of amazing goaltenders.

sorry i typed that intending for it to be a light-hearted joke, i'm aware that the majority of hockey players on pretty much all teams are canadian, i.e. Marty Biron, the man who has carried this team for the entire playoffs.

Holy smokes! Could they sweep twice in a row? What's the Wing's record for consecutive playoff wins? Dallas isn't playing bad at all, theres just no way to stop Z and Datsyuk when they are playing at the top of their game.

Ozzy's not playing bad either, and I actually feel bad for Turco... He's awesome too, just taking some punishment.

The wings are looking great in these playoffs I knew they would be a threat but I wouldn't. think they would be sweeping teams and even through Dallas looked good last night I thought it would be a better match-up then it's been.San Jose must have really wore them out.if my memory is correct the 96_97 Wings sweeped Anaheim in the playoffs and
Sweeped Philly to win the Stanley Cup(sorry "fouronsix").Again "GO WINGS"

no team has come back from being down in a playoff series 3-0 since 1975... It would be huge if Dallas or Philly could do it. But my wife would be angry because she is sick of watching hockey. I'm ready for a Pittsburgh vs Detroit playoff.

Go Wings!!!!

That's my prediction,Pittsburgh is making Philly looking silly. It all comes down to who wants the cup more.

Lets Go Red Wings.

Yeah, and I think Dallas looks better than both Philly and the Penguins, so imagine if the Wings keep playing this well through that series! Another sweep?

you guys are straight up haters. ha

in all fairness Philly is missing three really good players in Gange, Timmonen, and Coburn(who logged a whopping one minutes twenty-some seconds in the first game before being struck witht he puck). I'm positive if Philly were healthy this would be an entirely different series.

I feel your pain, last nights game Holstrom was clearly not in the crease even on the overhead view but the ref said he was no goal for Datsyuk Dallas comes back and scores a goal total momentum switch in the game.I wonder if the same referee is going to be in Detroit Sat.?my guess is not.Oh well it will be sweet to win the game in Detroit anyway.

Turco was really on his game through I will give credit where credit is due.we need to put way more pressure on him.that's the formula for a sure win.

GO WINGS,

We take our hockey pretty seriously here as well.

I envy you for having an organisation able to maintain such a high level of excellence years after years. Go Wings. You deserve it this year.

Just saw this...
GO WINGS!

Long time hockey fan...until they killed it trying to appeal to "people that don't like fighting" ....stupid glow puck....and the lock out....

I remember when ALL the games were like this latest series with even MORE banging around...and a couple fights....OTT would be splattered by now....
Oh well this last series has been cool, and I didn't expect a sweep of Dallas anyway.

Go Wings!!

it was a good season while it lasted. and a huge turnaround from last year when the team had the worst record in the leauge, and in the teams history. I'm happy with what we've done and I hope we can keep building.

See you next year

The seasons not over for the DETROIT RED WINGS took out Dallas as predicted they did play a good couple of games but the wings were on fire last night through.classy act by the Dallas fans too give their team a standing ovation when the game was over.Kris Draper with the Goal off his face when they were talking to him at intermission you could see the blood still caked in his beard.Bring on Pittsburgh it about time we get the Cup back in "Hockeytown" where it belongs.Good luck Pittsburgh.

Just go back and re-read post # 39, if anyone needs a re-fresher course. ;-)

The Penguins ARE a really good team, but I got the Wings in 6!

Detroit just has the teamwork chemistry down to a science. :-)

Like the post, you're right you need chemistry on a team it don't. matter if you have a team of All-Stars if they don't. have chemistry it may as well as not even happen it's like that for a band, team, etc.being from the Detroit area I've got the Wings in 5 I figured they would get the Cup at Joe Louis Arena.Franzen & Chelios should be healthy by Sat. I don't. need to explain how important Chelios is to ANY team but Franzen was one best players during the playoffs having them both back the Wings should be unstopable noting taken away from Pittsburgh the are a great team and it should be a good series.can't. wait till Sat.

The puzzled Penguins that's all I can say......The Red Wings are just spanking Pittsburgh
I thought it would be a better series than this not that i'm complaining but all Pittsburgh can do is try to take our guys out.I know it's Stanley Cup hockey but you can really tell how desperate Pittsburgh is getting. It looks like the Wings could take it in 4 but i'm still saying Wings in 5.
