Default 2nd Birthday!! New Drums!

Here we go...

The quality of the pics is not very good, but this is my youngest with his first kit...

I suppose that when he learns to read and write he'll be posting on here..

I've given all of my kids room to decide what they want to do.. this little guy has been banging on stuff and molesting my kit since day one..

Man, I love being a dad...

Peace!

Danny, that is so dang cute! (good idea-early ear protection).

He loves the drums alright. I can tell, because he's got that look on his face which we all get when we nail a fill
..... that warm & tickly feeling permeates through the torso right down to the ...well, tail bone. and we can FEEL it. Thats what gives us that drummer look - and he got it!

I'm happy that you're so happy being a very special dad. Its a special gift, a special time and its for you both to enjoy.I hope you drink deeply from this cup.

Happy birthday & good wishes & blessings to the lil' drummer. May he have that look on his face, always.

Thanks fellas!

He's loving the kit.. wouldn't even finish his birthday doughnut (!?!?!?!?).. It's so cool to watch him. It is great therapy for his CP as well.. I'll be glad when he can reach the pedals though.. I have the throne as low as it will go but he still needs to grow a bit.

The drums are actually pretty cool. Even with the junk heads on them they sound good.. I swapped the cymbal that came with the kit for an old 13 mastersound HH top that I had lying around, and I'll pick up something for a better set of HH's for him next week. Then I will uprade the heads to something sufficient for him. I'm already thinking another floor tom and a couple more cymbal stands.. LOL

Wifey is just rolling her eyes.

Now, if I can just teach him to count to four..

Peace!

That's all he'll ever need to know!

By the way, do you already know he is a lefty?

Thats awesome He,s a lefty they make great drummers. I have a friend that plays on a lefty kit right handed and left footed he has fantastic independence . My 16 year old started at that age and is now a pretty darn good drummer . Enjoy every minute man cause they grow up way too fast!

Being a Registered Soft Tissue Therapist in Ontario. I would like to suggest that your son get Rofling/Structural Integration if he has CP. Just investigate Fascial Therapy, Rolfing and CP. You will be very glad you did.

Cheers on his birthday and wonderful gift he will look back on with smiles....

That's great. I hope my boy shows an interest in music (when he finally gets here). Preferably drums, but any instrument would be cool with me.

What are the sizes of his drums? Kind of hard to get an idea of the perspective.

That's absolutely fantastic! Such a lucky feller. I've seen those kits in BH heaps, not long before he's destroyed that one and he's bugging you for a starclassic or masters;)
