Very cool. Judging by how the sparkle finish picks up the brassy color from the cymbal in the 2nd pic, I'll bet that kit will look awesome under the stage lighting! How do they sound? That kick drum looks like it will kill anything within a block or two of your house!

I can't wait to see them on stage this weekend. The sparkle pics up any light within a mile radius! It's going to be killer.

The bass is such a cannon, I love it!

Thanks bud. They sound amazing. First kellar maple kit i've owned. Now i see why they are pretty much the standard.

I've been playing for about 11 years and this is my first pro level kit. I'm very pleased.

I am not that into sparkly shiny blingy drums, but yours looks great. I like the reso head for the bassdrum the best :-).

I bet you play some pretty loud music, seeing those cymbals...

pretty loud? Yes! lol

I must say as well...i've been playing on a crappy drum stool for near my entire drumming career. After I got that pork pie i've felt so much better after practice. I mean we practice for 6 hours or so straight. My back has never been happier!

Wow, I like your music a lot. Not very musical, but I love the low grunts instead of the screaming most bands do, in combination with the clean vocals. Drumming is pretty straight forward, but that totally fits the style :-). Keep up the good work.

Very nice kit. My kit has the same type of finish.. just not a blinged out as yours. Wait until you see what black-lighting does with it. Its pretty out of this world... the sparkles will appear to be rising above the drum in 3-D.

Have fun with that.

thanks. I've never been a flashy player. I like to keep in the pocket most of the time. We have other songs that are more melodic and some that are heavier. Thanks for listening!

woah. What a great look kit. And the sizes, look perfect for punk/hardcore if I do say so myself. Mind you, you arent blasting the huge crashes/ rides to be crashed?

Wow, this and the Kumus have to be the coolest four-pieces on the forum - little kits with huge attitudes. If you took this one out in the sun it could cause eye damage ("pupil collapsing sparkle").

The bass is indeed like a cannon and I like the virgin bass, suspended tom and elegantly minimal hardware. This clearly is not a mass-market Tamaha or Ludpex.

How does this VSS system work, anyway? The Web site wasn't clear about it.

Keller Products and all include their new VSS technology:
"VSS, or “Vibrating Sound Source,” is a Keller Products patent-pending innovation that enhances the integrity and strength of our drum shells. We use space-age technology to condition each VSS shell, resulting in regenerated vibrations that elevate head response and increase drum performance.
VSS provides manufacturers with cleaner exit and entry for drilling, more consistent bearing edges, and improved stability for finishing.
VSS provides players with wider tonal range, more resonant frequencies, and noticeable volume increases."

thats about all i know. Sounds good to me! lol

Thanks for the props. My kit is nowhere near on the level of the Kumu but to see you say that makes me even prouder!

is that the DDrum S4 maple snare? your kit looks amazing. The way that the snare drum is colored differently, yet is blends very well.

OT: I'm choosing between the tama metalworks 13x6 or the Ddrum S4. I'm leaning towards the tama as of now.

Thanks! It is. I was suprised at this snare. It's a great snare, and you cant beat the price. Like I said, I origionally just picked it up to hold me over until I could order my custom snare, but i'm going to hold onto this one.

I would say go try one out and see, but it sounds so much better with a good head and good tuning. it's like a whole different drum.
