Default My steal off of Ebay

I bidded on this kit, and didnt win, then I was given a second chance offer so I emailed the guy... I told him I had found a cheaper kit... he then asked me to make him an offer... the winning bid was about 800 pounds, I made the guy an offer of 550.00 fully expecting a f**k off pill... anyhows the guy dropped the kit off to me at my friends house. No extra for delievery... A very gutted young lad turned up, with this kit... not bad eh? Sabian AA's the lot. Biggest mistake he made was telling me how desperate he was for the kit to be sold.

It sounds pretty sweet too... needs a re-skin, rack system, double kick and a china.

Looks like you got one heck of a deal! What a beautiful kit! It's great that you got free delivery too. The drums and cymbals look like they have been well cared for.

What are the specs?

Nice!!! That is an awesome deal, nice job. Looks like a Yammie stage custom with assorted Sabian AA's and AAX's. Like Drummer0 said looks like it's been cared for well. Nice steal.

I couldn't believe it I did think about trying to knock off another 50 quid, but I thought the poor lad was going to cry... I got

8' 10' 12' 14' 16' 20' 14' standard snare... cymbals mostly AA's 14' HH Rock, 14' AAX Xplosion Crash, 16' Rock Crash, 20' rock ride. and a 16' B8, 8' AAX splash.

Strange thing is, I have a set of B8's and prefer their 'Bright' tones... the Hi Hats sound more 'silky'... Weird huh? or is it my heaing?

Congrats ! Really nice yammy stage custom. I love the natural wood finish. There's good batter heads on them too, probably classic clear.

Did you say that AA cymbals were included ??? If yes, then it's in fact a good deal.

Now, specs please !

Yeah bro, you would be right on that. I wanted a DW kit, but I saw this on eBAY and didnt really like it at first but the guitarist of my new band (Shameless plug www.myspace.com/attitudeno1).. Convinced me this kit was meant for me... And I'm hoping to get everything I want in a kit for just under 1000, which would be nice :o)

Probably it's your hearing because over a period of time you'll begin to prefer those AA & AAX with their sustain and less shimmering sound. But the fact is that Sabian B8 are very underrated, I own two B8 thin crash and recorded they sound good. You gonna love that 14" AAXplosion, it will make you want them in other size.

I think you're right, I guess I'm just used to the B8's. I cant wait to record it... The toms are resonant, beautifully sounding... I have had Tama, Pearl, Remo Mastertouch, and this kit, knocks the spots off it... Thats what I have is a B8 thin crash, and I like it...

You certainly did score. 3 up, 2 down. Endless (almost) set-up combo's there. Poor kid though. Yeah, if you can't/don't have a poker face, you usually come out on the loosing end of a deal every time.

Glad you got them, as most 2nd chance offers are fake.

You did great. Should be using those when you're my age. Well maybe not that long.
The guy that bought my Taye set, came in my house drooling and Oooh-ing and Ahhh-ing, and his son was saying, Dad this is just what you been looking for. I was thinking cha-ching. We have a winner. Then asked me how firm I was, and I just smiled and said pretty firm, I mean you were wiping off your chin....
Good job Chris
