Default Nick D'virgilio toms HELP!

I thinking about getting a new drum set and wanted my toms to sound similar to NDV's.
The kit couldn't be more than $1250 (obviously it's not going to sound as good). Also what heads would allow me to have that sound. I just need some opinions.

Here is a link to nick's video http://www.drummerworld.com/Videos/n...ynamedsid.html

Nick's kit is an Mapex Orion but you can achieve almost the same sound with a Mapex Pro M with all Aquarian texture coated heads batters over classic clear reso ;-)

A word of caution : Drum sound that you hear at gigs, performances, and recordings comes through much careful ( & expensive ) micing and processing, heads, tuning etc. Please dont assume its just because of the brand of drums he's playing.
