Default Big Dog E001 single bass drum pedal

How does this pedal compare? Is it a match for the Iron cobra?

well i have the double pedal and although i havent played on many others i have played on a dw 5000 and i feel the bigdog is superior but since i hav not played an iron cobra i cannot giv you a verdict. but i hav heard the the cobra can feel slightly sluggish and i feel the big dog flows quite smmothly. hope that can give you some sort of reply

Looks like Tama makes the thing for Big Dog.

Seems like Big Dog makes some pretty high quality and good value hardware. I have a BD throne and snare stand and may change my Premier 6073 bass pedal for the BD soon.

It's nowhere near the quality of the iron cobra im afraid.

Couple of years back i was on tour with fightstar and there representative came to a gig and gave one of the other drummers a double pedal.

I had a few go's on it. It is very decent for a cheaper priced pedal.

But it's certainly not a top range one.

It's like comparing a swingstar to a starclassic. Great at it's level but different league.

In for a penny , in for a pound. I bought an Iron Cobra for 99. I guess it will last me for years and is money well spent.
