Default dw 9000 or axis (double pedals)

i've been looking at the 9000's for a while and checked them out at guitar center but i know alot of drummers who use double bass (i.e. Ben Koller) use axis. i just need to know what either of these pedals really are like with out all the b/s hype.

p.s. are the longboards really worth it? i seem to use any regular sized pedal just fine.

Longboards C-A-N be worth it...but it's pretty much up to you. Regardless of the size of your foot, making the switch to an Axis system (or any other pedal, DW9000's included) will have it's inherent differences and things you'll have to get used to and adjust to.

No hype...but I would say that I'm very pleased with having made the switch from a regular pedal to the longboard Axis. Took a while to get use to em'...but definitely worth it.

Granted, you might feel better on the DW's. If you do, go with them instead.
