Default my progress

Here is my new kit! its been a long time coming after playing my percussion plus for 4 years, now I have finally updated! I have also been, one by one updating my cymbals(still in progress) along with my progress in gear has come a huge progress in my playing(however, not because of having new gear)-due to taking some lessons for the first time ever with a mate of mine, I would recommend lessons to anyone who hasnt taken that step before. but enough about me, here is my awesome new kit!

Tama superstar custom hyper-drive:

18''x22'' bass
10''x6.5'',12''x7'' rack toms
14''x12'',16''x14'' floor toms
14''x5.5'' snare

13'' A custom hats
17'' A zildjian medium crash
18'' A custom fast crash
20'' meinl classics medium ride
16'' paiste alpha china
6'' UFIP bell

sorry for my photograhy(im a drummer not a photogragher) hopefully better pics will come soon, these dont really do the finish of the kit justice.

Interesting finish on those shells. How's the Classics ride? B8, right? I've never really had the chance to play the classics.

Really really nice....congrats! Love the finish too.
Just a question though. I notice from the overhead pic that your bass pedal and hi-hat pedal are basically in-line with each other.
I'm curious as to how many other players play this way?
This way, you are sitting "square" to the kit, and facing directly ahead.
The "traditional" way seems to be where you would sit at an approx. 45 degree angle to the kick, with the pedals following the same angle.
The way you show your positioning (If that's how you play them), makes sense to me, as getting around the kit would seem to be easier?
Anyone else play this way?

thanks for the kind words!

Prempex- lol, my name is indeed simpsons inspired!

Youenjoy00myself- classics are b8, this ride was the first cymbal i ever bought 4 years ago, it seems to keep getting better! very versatile. nice bell too.

Wooltonboy- yes, the reason for sitting very square is to move around the kit easier. before now, I always had an 'off centre' tom set-up, wich meant I sat on more of an angle, but progress in my technique has made me less particular and I now like the more standard tom positions. Also, this is the first time ive ever played 2 floor toms, I find if I sit straighter I twist my back less to reach the second one.

thanks again guys!

That is a nice kit you got there, I love my own superstars to death and I know you'll feel the same about yours.
That's also a nice finish, I believe that's the finish they replaced Custom Ocean Fade with. Too bad actually, ocean fade is awesome but this burst is also really nice!
