Right well lads and lasses it's here and it's pretty beastly i must say. Seeing as it's called resonator it comes as little surprise that it resonates rather a lot, the resonance is actually rather insane. The sustain is cymbal-like and even with the heads only roughly tuned it doesn't sound "dead" or muffled at all. It might actually be my loudest drum, certainly sounds it when i play.

the ebay pic as you can see is not very clear so i was very pleasently surprised to see it was in this lovely trans black finish, even if it is a bit buggered.

This is pretty much why it was so cheap, the finish and some of the chrome is getting a bit worn and it's been damaged at some point, but it still sounds good as ever.

Not a great pic, but it's of the inside. As you can see there are no screws. That's because the resonator drums have 2 shells and there is no mounting hardware on the inner one. That's why it's so loud, resonant ( :p ) and has so much sustain.

Currently on it is a Remo Ambassador head, which looks pretty good but it doesn't match the rest of the kit so i'm gonna change it to a clear when i re-skin it along with the rest of the toms. I could have changed them all to coated but i've decided that if any of my mates who are drummers came round they could gawp at the lack of screws on the inside of the drum :p plus i just like being able to see through my drums.

Thanks 4 the comments so far guys, tell us what you think now you've seen it in a bit more detail.

Great drum you've got there!
The exact same as on my kit, only different finish.
Loud, fat and great resonance!
