I got:

drum related: Tommy Igoe's "Groove Essentials" book and Pro Mark Mike Portnoy drumsticks (and a gift card to my local drum shop is on the way I am told)

other stuff: A cell phone (I've been wanting one of those for a long time) Itunes, CD's, books, clothes, a calendar, etc.

You should play "P.I.M.P." by 50 cent when wearing those bad boys.

Let me know what you think about it when you do get to take it for a spin. I've been eyeing that same snare for the past couple months and I'm very interested in what people have to say about it.

One more thing... if at NAMM I can get Akira Jimbo to sign my set of prototype hats that he designed then my Christmas will be complete.

I'm lucky this year, my parents are helping me out with a new Bubinga Unix Stave Snare, and if my order ever gets through, a 18" Sabian Fierce Crash (I've been waiting since August).

Anyway this year I got 4 new CD's, some chocolates, and new clothes and shoes from a Retro store.. my mom is REALLY good at picking out retro clothes for me.
Oh and also my B8 Pro cymbal set with free 18" crash and 10" splash, but I can't open that till the 1st.

The gifts aren't exceptional, but neither was my performance at school this year.

Well, it'll probably come in boxes over the next few weeks, so it's not exactly "for Christmas," but it is kinda coming out of Christmas windfall cash...

New Tama Superstar SK fusion kit with added 16" floor tom in brushed metallic black. Paiste PST 5 rock pack for an out-of-the box setup. Iron Cobra Jr. double bass pedal, Roc-n-Soc Nitro throne.

I was on Santa's REALLY nice list. Will post pics when it's here and all set up.

:D

Oh, and I also got one of these from a very special guy:

It's a Benchmade: the finest blade I have ever owned or am ever likely to own. Fully automatic. I would never have spent that kind of money on a knife for myself, but I'm stoked that somebody else did.

That would be a good tool for cutting a hole in the bass drum head.

I got season 4 of Futurama on DVD, various gift cards (Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Musician's Friend), and some cymbals:

14" K Light hats
20" K Custom Hybrid ride
24" K Light ride (actually bought this one for myself a few hours ago, but my Christmas cash helped so it counts)

Hopefully I won't need anymore cymbals for a long time.

I'll probably get a book on C programming with my Barnes & Noble gift card, some CDs with the Amazon one, and a cowbell with the MF one.

I know I am late. But I wasn't on this for a while.
I got (from my amazing girl friend) a Trick Kodiak snare. Its one of their old models. As some of you know their shells are about 3.2mm thick. Well this snare is the same metal, but its about 8mm thick! Its a monster!! I am going to ship it to Mike at TRICK soon and have him put a 007 throw off on and maybe refinish it.
Not drum stuff I got socks and a book on firefighting. (Thats my next job I hope!)
