I don't have BCA's, but I do have RC's..

I use Evans EC2 coated up top, G1 clears on reso.. The kick gets an EMAD3 with an EQ4 on reso...

The snares are a different animal.. 2 of them are maple and I use the Remo Renaissance RA's, and the Dave Weckl had a coated Ambassador on it..

The Evans head combination gives me a good rich sound that's not overly 'attacky', and the kick, (a 24), is killer on a good stage..

Hope this helps.

I just installed an Evans EMAD (single ply) batter head with the smaller ring on my 20" BCAN and the sound is great. I'm using the stock non-ported resonant head and no internal muffling. Both heads are tuned to 75 psi on the drumdial.
I have a superkick II on my other set YMC 20" and the EMAD is a more open tunefull sound, the superkick is more dry and punchy. Both are good choices but I think that the EMAD is more versitile.

What kind of sound are you looking for?

My recording experiment:

I don't have BCA's, but like danander11, I had RC's for a long time. As I stated in another post, after lots of research to see what head choices other pro players were using that played RC's, the choice turned out to be clear emperors over clear ambassadors. I thought they sounded great. I played a clear PS3 on the kick with just a small blanket barely touching both heads and a 4" hole cut in the resonant side at the 4 o'clock position. That combo served me well for years.
