Nice Martin and I'm particularly fond of Schecter electrics. A friend of mine owns one of their mid-level guitars and it's lovely. Does that one have a coil tap?

Good eye for guitars, MFB..! the Martin is a 20 year old guitar, and still sounds very sweet after many coffee spills and cigarette burns.

The Schecter is a C1+ Black cherry mahogany top with flame maple with Duncan designed HB 103 humbuckers and yes, it has a coil tap with a tone pros bridge. Schecters are special. Extremely well crafted for the money..

The more I look at the Schecter, the more I think it's the same model my friend owns. In fact, I'm pretty sure of it. The only difference is that his had a blue finish with white binding and yours' is predominantly red. If that's the case, congratulations because those guitars are really lovely.

yep. i play guitar, bass, and a lil piano. My guitars are (left to right) Schecter Omen 6 > Squier J Bass > Rouge Acoustic. and if any of you all are looking for a great cheap acoustic guitar, go for Rouge. they are sooo good sounding. i got mine for 100 bucks off musicians friend. very good deal! and i play a Line 6 Spider III for my electric.i also run a Boss Metal Zone pedal. a Fender Rumble bass amp for my bass.

I play just enough piano to talk not-drums music with other musicians, and mallet percussion. One day I want to learn the guitar, after all it could only help my drumming. Don't get me started on wind instruments, though. I can barely buzz my lips, and honestly I couldn't blow air and press buttons to make music for my life.

Havant, eh, my folks live in Barnham! We should hook up sometime when Im down there.

I was surprised by how decent Bern's is for a small shop! Nice guys, good music on the stereo; even were nice to my little bro, who just wanted to hit everything...Spent about 100 quid in there.

I dont gig with the Akai actually, its for studio work (hip-hop) for the moment....maybe if I find the right setup.

Yeah, Ill PM you next time Im heading down to the coast, maybe we can hook up and also go to Helter Skelter in Chi...nice shop

Default What other instruments do you play?

How many multi-instrumentalists on here?

I play drums (obviously), bass and guitar to a good standard, plus piano, theremin, xiao and erhu to a slightly less good standard. I also do a lot of programming for music like this.

What do you all do?

I play ethnic percussion. Today I practiced darbouca, congas, drum pedal exercises and played a large frame drum for enjoyment.

I do not play classical percussion on marimbas and so forth. I wish I did. There doesn't seem to be enough time for that now. I have enough trouble finding time to play what I play.

I'd like to learn the guitar but it is the same problem. Finding the time. I own about 200 odd instruments and try to play them all. It's not easy though.

Piano, Bass, Guitar, various percussion instruments, Synth, I make my own electro music, harmonica, saxophone, fiddle, tin flute. These are not instruments that I play from time to time, i'm frequent with them and play them often.

----------------

I was taught piano from a VERY early age. Was always "singing" drum parts (in my head) &

added drum lessons from about nine or ten, then added sax from the age of fourteen.(Because I love the sound)

I also love guitar, especially slide/blues..Rory Galllagher(dead), Moody, Moore, Winter, Ray-Vaughn, Vai & so many more ,but I didn't make enough time to learn yet another instrument.

Drums are my passion, always have been. I still enjoy playing sax & piano, but drums come first. I'm a drummer first & foremost :-))

I play the guitar, have done for four years. Never taken a lesson however, so I'm not much good! I just use it for writing songs.
