Default My classy new vintage Leedy...

Well I picked this one up as a steal on Ebay. She wasn't in the best of shape but I definitely could see the beauty inside. After 6-7 hours of polishing later...

This is a late 20's Leedy Black elite. Brass snare that was basically the equal of the Black Beauty. It's probably up there as far as rarity especially in this kind of condition. Can't wait to actually play it but first I need to go to bed. Way past my bed time!

That really looks beautiful. I reckon those hoops will chomp your sticks though. But I don't expect you to play this drum - perhaps build a nice display case for it.

Oh baby that's a beauty. Well done.
Interesting looking throw-off. Will you be able to get snares for it?

Wow, a piece of history right there. Wish you'd taken a before- pic. Always fun to see a before/after pick with you artists!

I have snares for it... the original 1920's silk snares actually. =) I have some before pics but the flash tends to hide just much work I did. I'll upload them this evening.

Wow, looks great. That's definitely a collector's snare not a player's for sure.

Lets just say I paid quite a bit less than it is actually worth. It wasn't "cheap" but it's worth more than I paid by a long shot.
