Default new stuff for my mapex

Happy new years guys. My kits changed some since last time i posted. I bought a DW 7000 double pedal. I got a nice 16" Istanbul Mehmet traditional dark crash from cymbalsonly. I also got some evans g2 heads for the toms. On to specs...

Mapex Pro M Classic
14X7
12X9
16X16
20X22
13X6 Black Panther snare

14" sabian AA regular hats
16" Istanbul Mehmet traditional dark crash

16" zbt rock crash

They sound great! Although im having a little trouble with the heads loosening. I might end up buying some of those tightscrews. The bass BOOMS. I can't wait to play out so i can take the pillows out of it and let it do its thing.

I'm surprised you're not using the 13 X 6 Black Panther. Is it a cherry/maple? IMO they sound much better than the stock snare that comes with the Pro-M. I have 13 X 6 and 12 X 7 cherry/maple snares and I love them.

I think he should use the 13x6. I tried one out, they sound great!

Yeah i love the BP and i do use it often. Although, I can't quite the sound i wan't out of it. Sounds like a lame excuse. Does anyone (tommapex) have any tips for tuning the BP?
