Default Anyone using this combo?

A 2 ply clear bass batter and a wide open w/port single ply? I was thinking of using a Clear Powerstroke 4 with a Coated Ambassador with a 4" port. I've used PS3's for my entire career, but they are just not cutting it for my 24" bass. I need something with a slight more control and body. A few kicks I've heard with Powerstroke 4's seem to have enough boom but with a bit more body and punch, however, I've never heard it paired with a Coated Ambassador Resonant.

Right now I have a Clear Powerstroke 3 with a Coated Ambassador w/4" port. I have small pieces of Aurelex foam touching the bottom inside of both the batter and the resonant. It's a HUGE sounding drum for sure.

I'd be afraid to muffle anything if I switch to a 2 ply, because as it is, I am risking a volume reduction.
