Default Vater Vintage Bomber Beater

I just got mine in today. It's certainly a great thing to have. It's a big soft fuzzy beater which allows you to have a large dynamic range and is great for jazzy situations. I got it for my 26" bass and it's a lot of fun as it adds a lot more versatility to such a big drum. I've heard people say they use them on 18" bass with good results too. Pick one up today and have a fun time with this little lambchop on a stick :)

Having one of these beaters is like suddenly having an entirely new bass drum at your disposal in the time it takes to switch it out with your other beater. Instant Krupa boomy tone. Jazz BD Feathering/Bomb Dropping techniques will really shine with this beater. It must absolutely kill with a 26" BD!

I have one hanging around somewhere that I bought and never wound up using. I'm sure they'd sound great with a wide open, higher tension drum, but that's not how I usually tune so it didn't quite work for me.
