Another Imperialstar man, good for you!! Don't listen to those naysayers and play what you like. For improving your kit just concentrate on appropriate and quality heads, building the cymbal collection up one at a time if you don't like your current ones, and tuning those beasts correctly. Post some new stuff if you have it and keep rockin!! \m/

P.S. I know how hard it is to get the HH closer with the big toms. I got mine as close as possible but it's still slightly farther away than I like.

The cymbal above the third tom from the left (behind set perspective) looks like its gone through hell, then a shredding machine, then a shredding machine in hell, then played on for 25 years. I wonder how it sounds!

But yeah whatever rocks your boat man. I wouldn't like a set like that, a bit too 80's for me.. I'm more of an early 70's man myself. Early 70's drumsets are beautiful to me, along with very modern and compact ones.
