Default getting back on the horse..(thanks for the support)

Hey,

Iíve not been 'round here a whole lot recently, in fact I haven't done much drumming in the last 4 months....

But before thenÖ

Things where going really well with my band, record deals, good gigs, tours, good press in UK magazines, playing massive support gigs. Then the unthinkable happened. My very dear friend and band mate Iain died. That was 4 months ago.

It was (and still is) such a shock.

Since then myself and Stu (the other band member) have been on a rollercoaster of emotions, from organising funerals, talking to family and friends (so hard, calling people telling them the news) to drinking way too much, it's been a hard year, this one.

Every time Iíve played the drums since iains death, itís been very emotional. Upsetting.

But now it seems like time to start playing again, to give it another shot, cause playing music is the most rewarding, enjoyable thing Iíve ever been a part offÖ

So wish me luck as I start again on my small pad downstairs and wish stu and I luck as we start writing together againÖ

And I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to the members (you know who you are) who sent me messages of support.

You have no idea how good they where to receive.

Thanks.

Nathan

Hey, Nate
I'm happy you can begin to bring things back to normal. I'm sure a loss in a band is a huge blow, but I commend you for moving on. Gratz on getting yourself back together and keep on making great music.

Nate,
Man i read your thread when Iain died, I also went on to the site where people had offered their condolences, and i was deeply saddened and connected with what happened at the time, it was the one time i sat at my computer and just cried. I apologise now that i didnt send you any kind of condolence or support, but i hope that you can forgive me that one and maybe be assured that there was many here, who although silent, still felt deeply for you and all involved. I hope that you get back into stuff easily, and that you play music in his memory, and that one day you look back not with sadness but with joy.

Sean

Welcome Back Nate. Keep going, don't ever give up. Music has healing powers and I'm sure that you'll find that the more you get back into it the easier it will be.

nate, im sorry for your loss.. although its been quite some time.. i feel its a good idea on your part to start drumming again

drumming or any instrument really is a good way to get emotions out and creative juices going.

being in a band and loosing a bandmate is probably one of the hardest things ever.. if i lost somone in my band it woul be very traumatic but wed cary on..

band are like brotherhoods and may your friends soul rest in peace

you know every one at DW is here to support you man

Good luck with your future endaveors and hang in there!

sincerly,
Dom
