From Aquarian's own site:

Quote:
Response 2™: A clear, two ply head manufactured with Aquarian’s Vacuum Process™ which eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies. Full sound, great attack and consistent tone from drum to drum.

Response 2™ Texture Coated: A two ply head featuring the durable Satin Finish™ texture coating.

Response 2™ with Power Dot™: A clear, two ply drumhead that features Aquarian’s patented Power Dot™ on top for added durability.
Quote:
Super-2™ Drumheads "A New Kind Of Two Ply Head"

They have great attack, projection and depth unlike any other drumheads. The patented Safe-T-Loc hoop prevents the head from slipping and the Sound Curve collar design provides "Responsive Tuning". With Responsive Tuning, one turn of the drum key and Super-2™ heads react. A free tuning sheet is enclosed with each Super-2 drumhead.

CLEAR: Wet attack, lot's of bottom end and depth.

COATED: Mellow, warm full sound.

CLEAR WITH POWER DOT: Focused, deep and solid.

CLEAR WITH STUDIO-X RING: Focused, warm and punchy.
Both are double-ply heads, and personally I wouldn't use one on a snare.

I recommend Aquarian Texture Coated (dont forget the bottom head Classic Clear Snare) on the Snare, My Black Beauty came to life with these heads, never sounded better.

Super 2's are two ply, but have thinner plies than Response 2's

Ok Again I'm here to tell the truth and offer my help with Aquarian products.

Response-II are two 7 mil ply head

Super-2 is a 5 mil upper ply and 7 mil bottom ply.

Easy as that !

Wrong

two 7 mil ply for a grand total of 14 mil head...

The Performance-II are also 2x 7 mil ply but with a thick focus ring.
