I really like the soundfile - your cymbals are warm and trashy, and I find that very natural and nice. How's the Dream ride?

I happen to remember a signature from someone on the forum.. Something like "A garage is no place for drums", and that is so true. Your set is looking great but it should be in a nice, warm, fuzzy drumroom ;-).

I like your soundfile by the way, not really my sound for cymbals but you have a nice groove

What do you guys think about my snare sound? my pink snare's head broke and the acrolite's ropes broke for the snares. So it was back to the stock, it was pain to tune up so what do you think about its sound and the sound of my kit over all..

Nice pics. My pc speakers are in the other room at the moment. I will check your soundfiles next time.

Sounds ..."loose" ......and funky though.....can't put my finger on it.

Dom, in that clip, ...are you only hitting your Saludas? Which ones? the hats, upside down splash and that one crash?

Didn't you post a sample of the crash a while back? I thought it sounded more like the one I have, but this clip is fairly different. It sounds frizzly in this sound file. I do like the mini china.

EDIT:

Ah wait it looks like you put the rivets back in? If so, that would really explain it. I think I prefer it without rivets.

I put the rivets back in, a few days after I posted it without them. I like it without but needed the frizzy sound for a few songs. All in all it takes about 2 minutes to take them out or put them in so it isn't that big of a deal.

Well that's convenient! :)

I would like to try rivets on a smaller cymbal, like maybe a splash or something.

I'll have to check them out. I've been addicted to eBay this past week. I'm trying to accumulate some older rack gear for outboard fx.

I don't think whoever had that sig knew about heated garages. I have it at room temp all time time. That way I am away from the house, it is a separate building, so I can have band practice and not have to worry about pissing off the neighbors or my family.
