i used a 12 inch rack and a 16 inch floor
they were a DW, dont know much about it series wise as i am unfamilair with DWs.

and those are two instrumental tracks, but we have a bunch of stuff with lyrics.

as for the cometnts, thank you guys so much, seriously, two of the best compliments ive ever recieved. i really apprciate it!
were gonna send the record when its finished out to some labels, but dunno how thatll work out.
were all in highschool, i just turned 16
but music is something i dedicate my life to, so i would have no problem with a label!

by the way, the tracks on our site are unmixed. ill post the mixed versions, when we get em

Allman Brothers meets Zeppelin at a King Crimson party. That's what you guys remind me of. Simply fabulous (you sure you aren't my age - 43 ;)

The coated emps sound great! The cymbals sound amazing (I have the same hats , I just can't play them as well a you). The recording is f'n awesome too!! I just recorded some stuff with the Mapex Pro M kit mic'ed yesterday - I am not gonna put it anywhere near this thread..lol.

BTW - great kit - Mapex drummers unite :)

Keep up the great playin' , bro. 70's rock rules...

Peace.

Loving it!

Anyways, I like the kit, I have the same finish on my M birch. Great drums.

Your band, BTW, is incredible. You certainly should get your name around. I love the music, and the live recording was great too. It helps that there was good quality, much better than you often get. Well done.

Is that a Maryland snare? It sure sounds nice. Do you prefer the 13 and 18 toms over the 12 and 16 you used in the studio?

yeah it is a maryland, i have a thread on it here http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=14107

i do prefer the 13 18 over the 12 16, just because i enjoy deep large drums. occasionally the big jump is noticeable in fills, but i can get such a deeper sound out of the 18in. its also alot easier to tune. mabey one day ill go back to two floors...

thanks again for the kind words everyone, i mean ever word when i say i appreciate it

i really hope you guys enjoy the article, considering i wrote it. haha.

we are also looking for other bands to interview, because, honestly, people want to hear straight form the band's mouth. in Lobster's interview nothing was changed or censored, so if you're interested you have complete freedom. if you ARE interested, send me a pm with a link to somewhere i can hear your music.

i really can't say thank you enough to gringo and the rest of his band for participating, you have our undying support. best of luck.

-justin

Are Mapex Pro M's in the same kind of price range as Tama Superstars or would you say they are a bit more expensive?

well, i was actually going for a superstar when i bought this, but i think the pro ms might be slightly more than the superstars. the pro m is maple, and the superstar is birch, i might be wrong about the superstar being birch though.

Great band! However, I don't see a pic of your kit. Would like to see what you're playing on.

Love the recordings! I can only repeat what others have said! By chance, have you heard of Umphrey's McGee? I would expect a great-sounding band like yours to have heard of UM.

Now that I realize I'm smart enough to look at your top friends I see UM there, and also under what you sound like. You definitely remind me of them so much. You guys really need a record deal! I love the tracks I've heard so far.
