Default Meinl Djembes

Hey guys - check these out!! We got our first shipment of Meinl African Rope Tuned Djembes. These things are SWEET! No BS - not trying to plug a product we sell....but seriously, these things are GREAT. We got the XS, S, M, L, and XL sizes. The XL weights about 30 pounds and has unbelievable bass tones! We've had LP and Toca djembes in before they were all nice but were nothing compared to these guys. They have a very nice thin goatskin head and the drum is made from a solid piece of mahogany. They also come with carry bags. Very nice!

I'm very impressed with Meinl - both their products and the company itself. I can't wait to get more of their cymbals and percussion in.

Here are some pics:

I own a number of Meinl percussion products. They make high-quality stuff and they're innovative. It's neat to see a large-scale manufacturer of modern-style instruments revisit traditional building styles.
