Default When is enough...really enough ?

" Greetings everyone...just landed here...take me to your local drum shop ! "

I've been cooped up in this flying saucer for sometime now and need to abduct more drums for experimentation. Down in the basement of my ship, I have gathered a nice assortment of percussion instruments....38 sets of various origin and a multitude of snare, 50 to be exact. My better half and space mate is seriously worried that I have lost it and is concerned that if it keeps up, we may not be able to get the vessel back into orbit. What is an alien to do ? ? ?

Is your collecting negatively effecting your life?
If so then stop, sell some stuff and move on, if not then keep on going ;-)

I am not a shrink nor do I play one on TV so this is purely my opinion.

Please send anything German made my way. With my German heritage, you can rest assured that they will be well taken care of. And that will leave you 4 sets that you currently won't have to dust.

Remember the old cartoons where a character falls down a flight of stairs into the basement, and you hear a cacophony of cymbal crashes, bangs, booms and pops?

I have it on good authority that particular sound clip was originally recorded in just two takes, on 3/4-inch tape at lgnat911's house.

I would say that 38 sets is enough.
Ever think about liquidating about half of your lower end kits, and buy 3 or 4 ultra-high end kits?

This is a very important question...

How many K. Istanbul cymbals are in the collection?

Please show us photos of the Trixon. You have a huge collection, but from what I can tell, only the Trixons seem to be unusual or exotic. Is it a Trixon set with the elliptical bass drum? Those are outrageous.

If that lonely Premier set is of 60's or 70's vintage, I would be an owner in a heartbeat.
