Very nice...I hear a lot of good things about Mapex.

And yeah, why is the kick right up against the wall? That's got to sound horrible? I suppose it'd be fine, strictly for practice purposes.

Thanks guys! Actually the bass sounds just fine for me, it pretty much sounds the same it did when it wasnt even near a wall.

I've got a Pro M kit with the same sizes. Sounds and looks great but is no fun setting up with all those suspended things. I suppose Birch gets a deeper sound from those toms than maple though. I have mine set up where my 10 is where your splash is and everything shifted over one. The result is the 12,16 become the main toms while the 10 and 14 are still there but out of the way. That 14x11 is a weird one. It's too high to be a rack tom really but not low enough for a floor tom. I'm still unsure of what to do with it.
Also, I found a neat trick. If you mount the toms on the floor stand with the rod facing down you can set them at a flatter angle and lower-more floor tom like.
