Default My Tama Superstars and Weird Setup

Hey guys here is my kit: (56k users, get out now!!)
Tama Superstar in White Satin Haze (I think)
22 x 18 BD
12, 13, 16 Toms
14 x 5.5 Snare
10 x 5.5 Mapex Pro Steel Snare
14 Sabian AAX Stage Hats
16 Paiste PST3 Crash
20 Paiste PST3 Ride
12 Orion Revolution Pro Splash
Tama Roadpro Hardware

Yeah, cymbals are gonna get a Zildjian makeover soon along with Aquarian skins and an Iron Cobra double ped hopefully :)
and the best answer I can give for why I have my kit set up like that; "because I was bored"
Feels good though.

So show us your weirdly set up kit! (if that makes sense...?)

Nice. How is that Mapex Soprano snare tuned?
And how do you like this Orion splash? I heard good things about Orion...but unfortunatly I`ve never tried some yet.

I use Orion hats some times on my x-hat, if and when I use it. They are nice, but have an altogether different timbre from the Zildijian/Sabian/Paiste range of sounds.

I find it nice to use them as a very different sounding ad-on.

They are made in Brazil. I think, and are less expensive than the 'big three'

Hey j-h, very cool set up. love it!

The snare was pretty nicely tuned from shop but being the old me, I fiddled around with it and ended up making it sound horrible, really buzzy and no crack at all. Then I decided to gaffer tape the end of my snares and now it sounds pretty good although a bit choked.
As for orion, they're real b grade cymbals if you ask me..

Looks like a weird set-up indeed but hey, whatever floats your boat! Superstars are fantastic drums, good choice!

I own a superstar kit. Love them :D. I also use a weird set-up, seems I put my one and only rack tom in the middle of my bass drum. Makes my set-up seem like a triangle :D
