Default My Yamahas

Hey everyone,

well some of you may remember me posting a pic or two of my gold sparkle kit. I have a new drum and am experimenting with a slightly different setup.

Anyway the kit is as follows:
YAMAHA STAGE CUSTOM ADVANTAGE
14x5.5 Snare
12x5 Snare
22x18 Bass
10x9 Tom
12x10 Tom
14x12 Tom
18x16 Floor Tom
All Yamaha Hardware, including DFP-9410 'Flying Dragon' Direct Drive Double Pedals

CYMBALS: Paiste Alpha
18" Medium Crash
20" Power Ride
10" Splash
14" Power Hi Hats
16" Power Crash
18" China
NOTE: 4 pictures per post read down, more pictures after this post!

First pic: Its not YELLOW as it looks in this pic, its GOLD.

The two snares (front: 14x5.5 rear 12x5)

Drivers Seat (note the 2nd snare placement, experimenting with it there instead of to the left of the hats)

Toms (F: 18x16 Floor Tom R:14x12 Rack)

Woah someone likes Aquarian eh

Nice kit man, really diggin that finish. Also, I don't know what it is, but the Stage Custom Advantage Snares sound much better than the Nouveau Snares.

Umm yeah, I think the new ones sound better. They are hand hammered unlike the old ones.

They still arent the best cymbals (obviously). The Hats are good though, really crisp. The power ride is good as well. Good bell sound.

I love the SCA Snares! They sound really nice. Easy to tune to all types of different snare sounds too. I'm using that 12"snare as a timbale (kind of).

The finish is killer under coloured lights. With all blues and red reflecting off the gold, its yummy.

Aquarian are awesome! I had one set of Aquarian skins on my drums for 3 years (back when I wasn't as into drumming as I am now) and I could still tune them well. They last and last.
