Default emperor coated or smooth white

Who has played both of these heads on there kit and what is the tonal difference?

The coated heads have a warm sound.

Clear heads have a bright sound

Smooth white's have an in between sound.

I have played the coated and like them for certain applications but the smooth white I haven't bothered with. I think they remind too much of 1970s high school marching band.

ive tried coated, and they gave me the nice deep warm sound i was looking for

I will say that Bryan Hitt is using the smooth white emperors on tour these days.
