Generally, people will abbreviate picture as "pic", not "pick". When I first read it, it didn't make sense to me either. No biggie.
Oh, BTW, those drums are sweet.

Haha, I've always thought when a company endorses you, you get free stuff. :]

Hey,

Nice looking kit. Be careful handling the bass drum with the heads on. As will all acrylic drums the " achilles Heel " will be the seams. Check out my website at www.awdrums.com

thanks and rock on!

Some endorsers do get free stuff, but most still have to pay something. Only those artists who are well known and can bring a lot of exposure to a product get free stuff. Then there are companies like Roland who don't do endorsements at all.

I saw a Johnny Rabb drum clinic that was sponsored by Roland and the TD-12.
Cool looking kit, must project well.

They sponsor drummers, but from what I was told they don't do "endorsements", meaning that the drummers still have to pay for their equipment. Unless the drummer was mistaken and they don't do endorsements in Australia where he is.

So you say your Endorsing them.. Or are they endorsing you? Endorsement dosent always mean you get free stuff.. I know a drummer endorsed by Sabian.. And he still pays for his cymbals. Endorsement basically means support.. I totally endorse Pearl drums.. But they dont endorse me with anything.. they dont even know who I am. If you are endorsed by a company.. that means your signed into a contract. They are not gona just give you there stuff for free.. or discounted and then let you be free to leave whenever you please. That would be a total loss to them.

dude, i never said anything about getting stuff for free.
i know what endorsement is. ive sgned a contract with spaun when i was 13.
look on the link i sent out. it cleary states on the ENDORSED list my name.
i paid 1200 dollars for my set. (that was the cost for all my parts)
hey just worked out a deal with me so instead of him making any money, hes not charging me for his labor to build the drums, because of the circumstanses of what happened before.

punchout is a smart cat. The easyest deal for Truth, spaun, sjc and in his case royal to make is for them to just charge you for parts. its a sweet deal, any other way it would be 2500+

The post said "From Endorsement".. Then you stated "and yea im endorsing em. " So you had me a lil confused.. I didnt know if you were endorsed by them.. or if you were endorsing them.

I believe that's a floor tom cradle.

floor tom cradles pretty much makes the whole drum resonate allot more. if i were to use a normal iso mount, weight is being put on the top hoop so tuning is pretty dificult.especially with a 16 inch drum. (i almost made that decision). but with a floor tom cradle instead of resting on the hoop and puting weight on it, the floor tom kind of rests free on the resonant side lugs. so it doesnt have any contact with the resonant head or tuning rods, so its kind of like picking up a floor tom and holding it in the air.

i probably didnt make any sense.
haha

About the whole endorsement scenario.. check out DRUM! Magazine issue August 2007.
It explains everything you need to know about an endorsement. Hell, the top of the magazine says, "8 steps to a drum endorsement"!

Lol, not sure if anyone cares but just thought I'd put it out their.
Good mag btw if anyone reads it.

Nice kit man! Not my cup of tea, but still awesome none the less.
