i custom ordered this late fall last year. it's a very classy color, something i can grow with as i get older.

yeah karl, it's a custom company out of annapolis, maryland. they sound great. i have g2's on em now, tried smooth whites 2ply, same sound. i'm going to give ec2's or ec1's a shot next time around.

thank you guys for all the nice comments, yeah the bass really booms. i don't get a chance to take many pics of it, and i just got a tripod so after practice, i said why not?

the first pics i didn't get to do with cymbals. but i'm intending to also throw a 20" A custom medium crash and a 16" A custom medium as well.

thanks again guys.

Sweet. Very beautiful kit! I wanted to get a Tama Starclasicc Performer in that color at one point. Got to love tube lugs as well :)

Where is that company based out of? I'll guess either Canada or Vermont :)

amazing drum set. That finish is nuts. The white reso heard really plays off the finish.

they sold ownership last year, but it's still all done in annapolis. but they don't permit people into their workshop i guess for insurance reasons. (at least that's the original owner's words to me) because i asked if i could just make the 4.5 hr drive down and pick em up, make a road trip out of it for fun. but, yeah, that didn't fly.

check out the website and contact them thru there first or call. since ownership change, their prices went up, but the original owner cut me a deal, kept he old prices up last fall, i know alot of custom builders kicked up the prices (supposedly because of the cost of materials), i believe it's because of the demand and popularity.

like the quotes i got last summer from numerous builders, were way cheaper(1,400 to 1,900) than what they told me this spring (2,100 to 2,800). i was getting quotes for the drummer in my band i play guitar in. and all the quotes were anywhere from 500 to 1000 more than what i paid.

thank you guys again so much for the appreciation, and i agree to with wnameth, gold glass glitter always needs a white reso bass head. i imagined it black, and it just wasn't working, even though my C&C snare is black galaxy sparkle.

those are the exact sizes of my custom kit thats being built. What do you think of the 12 inch. I got it in a shallow depth so I can get everything low to the bass drum. How do the tom sizes pan out to the bigger bass drum size?

I went with electric silver sparkle. I hope mine looks as classy as yours.

i like the 12, if i would have went 13, it'd would be have been at most 8" deep because of me being a short drummer and i like to keep everything close and at easy reaching level. the 16x14 is great, not as bulky as a 16x16 and since it's a high quality tom, it doesn't lose any boom. the bass drum, is excellent. at times i miss the 18 depth for a tighter punch, of course i can retune and adjust, but the 20 BD depth is too fun and too intense to deny. i think they all work well together, seriously i don't think tom depth matters anymore, i've seen too many shallow tom custom kits that sound great, you just have to tune it right, the only time i'm concerned with depth is on snare's and bass's. that's my view/opinion now. good luck with the electric silver sparkle, post a pic of the finish on here if you like, i'd like to see it.

Can you make someone have an accident with that bass drum? :)

I agree with you on snare drum depth, but I've found floor tom depth and tom depth to be important too. I've never liked anything shallower than a 14x14. The sound on an 11x14 or 12x14 just doesn't seem as full to me. Even stranger, I've hated every 9x12 that I've played, but I'll never give up my 8x12. For some reason, I could never tune them to not sound choked and lifeless and out of balance with the rest of the kit, and that was on EVERY set that I had with a 9x12. All the other drums may have been fine, but not that size.
