Default More new schwag! - Sonor S-Class Pro

Hey everyone :)

it's been about a month since i last posted pictures , and i've added lots since then!

- full set of Protection Racket bags (cymbal bag too)
- Sonor Force 3005 Maple snare (12x5)
- appropriate hardware for snare
- Vic Firth Tala Wands - these things are awesome!!! i use them at church and it's perfect...those ProMark Cool Rods are crap in comparision....they break easily, weigh nothing, and fray after only a few weeks...

i also played around with my cymbal positions a bit, i like this MUCH better!

Drum head is signed by Thomas Lang, guitar is a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio :)

this drum is PERFECT for me, it complements the aqua green finish well, and it mounts just like a rack tom! plus, at 75 dollars, it was an absolute STEAL ! sounds wonderful, too...i've got it tuned pretty tight , it has a lovely ring and a nice loud CRACK to it.

Shure SE-310 in-ear headphones and Yamaha Clickstation

and a parting shot :-D

alright folks, let the comments fly! any recommendations on some good Zildjian crashes? I play mainly jazz-rock fusion, and branch out into metal and prog occasionally...
I like the K Thin Dark i've got, but something brighter and a little quicker to decay would be good.

take care!

I really like the arc of toms. It looks very fluid. I also like the splash positions. I like the finish as well; subtle, interesting, and unique.

How are those protection racket bags, and where did you get them? I've been looking into them.

If your wanting something quicker and brigher go with A customs.

Your kit looks amazing. If I had something like that starting out I cant image how much better i'd be than I am now. Very well put together.

That is an awesome kit! I love Sonor. What is that finish called? Does the bass drum have that knob tuning system or do you use a regular drum key? Great kit, post recordings when you can.

Protection Racket cases are the best things a drummer can buy. (as you can see in my sig)

apart from sticks.

That is one really nice looking set of drums.
I've always wanted a German made Sonor kit. Some day...

Really drool worthy...

As are the drums. I really like that kit. It takes something special to impress me and a 1990 Les Paul Studio... I mean, Sonor S-Class Pro is getting somewhere towards it. Interesting finish, any idea what it's called?

Wow guys, thanks for all the compliments!! My approach to everything in life lately has been one of "The only way i'll do something is if i can completely devote myself to it", and that DEFINITELY holds true for music...

I'm actually contemplating checking Berklee out when i move up to Boston (in the coming months) - any folks here who have studied there? i'd love to get some insight and perhaps a little advice!

Yes sir (and Garvin too), it's "Translucent Aqua Green", in the S-Class Pro Colour Edition

for those commenting on the Protection racket bags, i can assure you - they're PURE QUALITY, down to the smallest detail...i didn't mind paying for a super-nice set of bags, they take up far less room than hard-shell cases...and i don't gig that often anyway.(church every sunday, that's about it for now)

I got them from Midwest Percussion for 350/change, i believe..

once again, thanks everyone! take care

MFB has it right when he says drool worthy. I like even more that you have a Sonor computer desk.

yes sir! it's from 1990, and it sounds AMAZING with the new strings i just put on...hottest-sounding guitar i've ever played..

and GRUNTERSDAD :
You like that, do you? I had an itch to use one of my fancy Sonor stickers, and i don't ever want to tack anything on my drums, so that's the place i sit most (after my throne, of course :-D )

Awesome kit, very nice and comfy to play. I wouldn't mind laying sticks or brushes on them, maybe even your tala wand or my rute sticks.

Sweet set :-)

Okay, I've seen dozens of pics of our drum kits on this site. Very few have surprized me to where I actually spoke out loud. I literally said, "Holy $#!+," when I first saw it. The finish on this kit is INCREDIBLE!! Upon description (my words would be transparent mint or something silly like that), I probably wouldn't have thought much of it; but it is absolutely stunning. I can only imagine how striking it is in natural light or at the very least in person. The tubs themselves are of great quality and of course high end bronze really round out the package nicely, but I can't stop looking at that friggin' finish. In my best Sean Connery, "Well done, Laddy."
